Celebrating Making It Through

I have finally decided to play along with Ruth Ayres and friends! Pretty excited!

There were lots of celebrations and *heart flutters* this past week. The one I think I am the most excited about is coming to you today from the couch.

I made it through the first week back after Christmas break! It went by quickly except for Friday afternoon, but even that I made it through!

To celebrate, I am curled up on the couch with my cup of Chai, my book and The Coffee House on Sirius XM and enjoying myself for a little bit before I tackle some projects. I don't have any set plans for the day, and that is a celebration too. It is nice to just relax and be for a bit.

What did you celebrate this week?

  1. The first week back after any break is always an adjustment. I was so happy to see my kids again, but really missed my afternoon naps! Enjoy your couch time today.

    1. Oh those naps were sorely missed this week! I did my fair share of napping over break!

  2. Curled up on a coach with a book - best place to be. I had my last week of winter break - Saturday several days in a row. Can't imagine how I will get up next week.

    1. Good luck! I did ok until about Wednesday and Thursday! I do this to myself every year, stay up late for two weeks, sleep in and take naps, then it kills me when going back to work again!

  3. Sarah, I love your blog title. I love a day without set plans (even more if I can proclaim a pajama day). I promised myself no naps after retirement (except my weekly Sunday nap). I've kept that promise for the most part, so I was surprised to be exhausted after my first day in the library. I went to bed before nine on Thursday night. So glad my first week back was only 2 days!
Sending your blog link to my niece who also teaches 4th grade.
